Alli also plays a little revenge bluff and tells Max she’s dating Forrest, even though this is clearly a ploy. This was a nice way of letting Max have more secrets from the past that we hadn’t learned about yet. We knew from the middle of the college years story that he was going to Italy, but we never really found out what happened there until this story.
