original_post:_1/25/2006____________________________ Yeah, this strip is totally about feeling sympathetic for Kim, growing her character, adding some depth, and so on. And it’s a cheap ploy. I realize that now, and what makes it worse, is that Kim’s not even in this strip. You’re hearing it secondhand from Rae, which doesn’t hit as hard as it should. It’s basically saying if we (the reader) didn’t hear it from Kim, why does should it matter? I do like the last panel though, assuming Damion was just listening to their conversation the whole time.
