Secondly, we have jumped right to after Chip has told Emily he wrote the letter, which of course is not true. Instead of spending an extra strip or two having Chip confront Emily and confess to her, we just jump right to it. From a story perspective, it might have been nice to show that moment, but that's not the moment I want to capture. It's Tommy's story here, so from his point of view, we're following what it all means to him. I also liked the use of video screen panels, even though it's subtle.
