I had a friend who was totally brilliant when he was intoxicated, but simply quiet when he wasn’t. It was fascinating to witness. Here we see Rae confessing her fears about Haven and sets out to find out the truth. In a way, it shows that Rae is learning not to be completely gullible, and actually use her instincts and think for a second. It’s part of her overall story.
