Tommy, being the friend is pulling back Alli and telling Max to give her space. But Alli’s question in the last panel means we are leading up to some major revelations from Max’s past that he’s kept hidden from Alli, and the readers! The comic book shop, Comix Ka-Boom was just a title I made up on the spot, and I’m not sure if I called it anything else in the past.
