original_post:_3/17/2004____________________________ Oh man, X-Men 2, or X2 as it was dubbed, was an amazing comic book movie. Still one of my favorites, but it's a little self contained over time. I think I went to see it four times in the theatre. I am a huge X-men fan, and seeing how they portrayed the team, the characters, the villains, was all fantastic. Now, in retrospect, I want more, and can see a lot of things that are not perfect. But that opening scene with Nightcrawler is one of the coolest assassination attempts in movie history.
