It was partly just to reintroduce Damion and the location as a hang out, but also show that Alli just needed a paycheck. There's a lot of risk with just not working a day job and trying to "make it" in comics. I've tried. But in light fiction like this you can let some things slide. I didn't want the story to be about how they were "trying" to get their comics made.
