original_post:_7/8/2002_______________ Rachael, as I had originally created her character, was a very naive girl with a lot of self discovery issues. Her entire arc as a character through the ten years of comics is about her finding out who she really is and gaining that confidence to be herself. As much as this story is about Max finding out the truth, it's also about Rae growing from the truly naive girl into the naive girl with a lot more "hands on" life experience. I wanted a different look for all the characters. Rae was the young schoolgirl. Emily didn't change much, except for some bangs and a more peppy attitude.
