This wasn’t a huge plot device, but answering two questions that many had asked, “Where did Max get his ‘no’ shirt and what does it really mean?” Max had to be the one to take the high road here, and make the tough decision. I had similarly made the decision to leave my job of many years when this was being written, and I think it reflected through the characters. Ironically, I left the job to try to do comics full time, but there you go.
