It was kinda nice to have them be really honest with each other, and moved the story forward. I didn’t know if “I’m not ready emotionally” would resonate with everyone, but I didn’t want to ignore all the crazy shit that Alli had been through. She was kidnapped twice, her twin drugged her, and then her twin passed. That’s a lot to deal with. So I wanted Alli to deal with that realistically, and Max to understand and show his maturity for once.
