I had used color before for a strip here and there, but this marked the beginning of an attempt to incorporate color in the strip for real. As with most of my artistic experiments with the strip, it evolved and got to time consuming, and I had to scale back. But I’m glad I did it and I think the strips that had color benefitted from it.
