I didn't need to have Naomi trick Rae into thinking she was the one that Rae fooled around with in college. It was a bit of a stretch to believe that anyway. Later on, at the end of this story, we find out it was a lie that Naomi just told her to joke around. But the act causes Rae to seriously re-evaluate her stance on preferring women.
